What are the newest Google features, and what do they actually mean for your business?

“Conversion Value Rules” is just one of the features Google has rolled out recently. Basically, it’s just what it sounds like. Google allows you to take a conversion value and create rules around it, based on location, audience, and device. In this episode, co-hosts Ralph Burns and Kasim Aslam talk through conversion value rules—and a bunch of other new features—and share what they love and hate about them. Kasim isn’t shy about his big feelings about Google and why he disagrees with them on so many points.

Listen in to get smarter about what Google is doing, why they’re doing it, and how you can tell the difference between their crap recommendations and their really good ones.

IN THIS EPISODE YOU’LL LEARN:

  • Why offline conversion tracking on the back end is actually more effective
  • Where to find out about Google updates early
  • Why Kasim doesn’t want to be a Google Premier Partner
  • Why Google will try to change your bid strategy (and why you shouldn’t let them)

The six most critical Google ads campaigns are: general, brand, competitor, DSA (dynamic search ads), remarketing, and display.

You don’t have to know all the nuances of each of these campaigns to benefit from this content. John and Kasim’s general overview will give you exactly what you need to help you oversee and manage the people running your campaigns.

Google ads have never been a one-size-fits-all strategy. Listen in to see which ad campaigns are right for you.

IN THIS EPISODE YOU’LL LEARN:

First party data is more important than ever before, and chatbots might just be the most effective way to capture it.

Travis Stephenson, CEO of Chatmatic, believes that people who hate chatbots (which is quite a few people) are overcomplicating them. In this episode, he encourages people to think about automation in Messenger or IG as a simple way to funnel people through to get the solution they’re looking for. It’s more of a replacement for a landing page—a bridge to get people where they want to go. Don’t try to cram your entire ecosystem into your chatbot, he says, just use it for lead generation and segmentation.

Listen in as he works hard to convince Ralph Burns and Kasim Aslam to embrace chatbots. Spoiler: it’s not a hard sell for Kasim who is the world’s biggest cheerleader for first party data.

IN THIS EPISODE YOU’LL LEARN:

  • Why you should send cold traffic to FB Messenger or IG instead of a website
  • What kinds of questions to use in an effective assessment sequence
  • A 30 to 60-day chat sequence game plan for any size ad budget
  • How to leverage Instagram’s engaging culture to get the response you want

No one knows marketing like Ryan Deiss. He’s been in the digital marketing game since he was 19—over half of his life—and he’s seen a lot of changes.

Ryan says that the holy grail of marketing and advertising is the ability to craft a message, yell it out to the masses, and have people who didn’t even know they were in the market have their ears perk up.
